Resources for Bigs

The program specialists and program managers at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County are valuable resources for helping Bigs find fun activities for mentors and mentees. Not only does our chapter of BBBS organize mentor and mentee group activities, but we also partner with local resources that offer kid-friendly activities. 

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a favorite charity of many organizations, and we receive complimentary tickets to sporting events, festivals, live events, musicals, theatrical productions, movies and more. Let your program coordinator or specialist know if you and your Little have a particular interest and they’ll try to let you know when free tickets come our way.

Mentoring Activity Ideas for Bigs

Looking for creative ideas for one-on-one mentoring activities to do with your Little? Check Broward County Library branches for events for kids and teens. Another great resource, in addition to your BBBS program specialist, is VolunteerMatch.org, which can help you and your Little find volunteer activities to do together. Give back while you’re giving back — that’s a win-win!

You’re a Big Deal Card

Our BIGS and families are a BIG deal!  To show our appreciation for your commitment to our LITTLES, all current and active volunteers can pick up a Big Deal card at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward office.

The card entitles you to discounts at local restaurants, venues and stores. All the offers are located HERE are valid with your BIG Deals Card. Make sure you bring it with you when visiting these establishments.
