C2 Computer Services, Inc. donates laptops to children in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward’s program

Due to COVID-19, schools across the country were compelled to shut down and many have shifted to online learning.  Thousands of students and teachers in Broward County are faced with the difficult challenge of now having to adapt to this sudden pivot in education.

The biggest problem with this change is the difficulty that students, who live below the poverty level, have encountered. There are students who do not have the means to be able to obtain the necessary equipment they need, most importantly laptops; these students are left at a strong disadvantage amongst their peers.  Organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County are at the forefront of tackling this problem by giving students the tools and resources they need to succeed in the virtual classroom.

On October 8th, 2020, C2 Computer Services had the opportunity to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County in their initiative to help these students by providing laptops that will be distributed to the children of Broward County.

“The majority of our kids live below the poverty level,” said Lisa Lachs, COO of BBBS Broward “To be able to give them something that keeps their education, their self-esteem and helps keep them moving in the right direction is huge”  continued Lisa “Anything that allows us to support their potential and safely connect the students to education & their mentors (virtually) is extremely valuable. These laptops will give them the contact that they need to meet with their mentors, meet with their teachers and do research on school projects that other kids can do. This is a lifeline for them, thank you C2”

C2 Computer Services, Inc., is a Managed Security and Services Provider in Coral Springs delivering IT services to small and medium sized business throughout South Florida.

“We are honored to be able to donate to BBBS Broward and hope that our contribution will help with the resources you need to continue your amazing and selfless work,” said Craig Lojewski, CEO of C2 Computer Services “Your organization is addressing real problems that many children encounter today and I’m sure your efforts are appreciated by the children, their families and the community.  So, on behalf of my Company, I want to thank you for what you do and we are delighted to have been able to contribute to your success”
