Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward hosts several events throughout the year in order to raise funds, increase community awareness and support the children we serve. Each event is planned and executed by our staff to ensure that a majority of our funds are utilized to further our mission. In some instances, a local organization will host an event and Big Brothers Big Sisters is named Charity of Choice. Program Events Each year, our agency hosts events for the children, families and matches in our programs. The goal is to give children, volunteers and families an opportunity to interact with each other, have fun and get to know our staff. Our annual Program Events include Hot Summer Cool School, Holiday Party in the Park and the Fishing Tournament. Fundraising Events Several events are hosted throughout the year, and in addition to receiving contributions, the agency also raises awareness about our programs and service delivery throughout Broward County. Everything we do goes back to maximizing our ability to transform children’s lives through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships. Annual fundraising events include Déjà Vu Ball, Kabuki Cook-off and Swing for the Kids. |
