Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most fun and rewarding things you will ever do. Be a kid again as you give a child the invaluable gift of your friendship.
Perhaps you’d like to help a child achieve in school by visiting a kid at a nearby school one hour a week. We have programs in several schools throughout Broward County.
How Do I Get Involved?
Just follow our easy steps:
Step 1: Learn About Us
Our team works with you to find a program or level of servce that fits you and your needs. Call or e-mail us to schedule a brief orientation session to learn about our volunteer opportunities and various levels of commitment.
Step 2: Let Us Learn About You
The better we know you, the better we can match you with the right child. Just fill out our application and we will spend time getting to know you through information sharing in our office and in your home. We will also complete your background and reference checks.
Step 3: Learn About Your Potential Little
Our team will find the right match for you and a child. Once you and the child agree to the match, we will introduce you and help get the match off to a great start.
Step 4: Learn How Rewarding Mentoring Can Be
Big Brothers Big Sisters provides training to help prepare you for your role as mentor. Our team is there to ensure your match is a "Big" success. You don't have to empty your pockets to find fun activities. Our community partners generously donate tickets to sporting events and activities around town to help support your match.
Step 5: Have Fun!
