Deja Vu

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Déjà Vu Rock Republic: A Tribute to Hard Rock presented by Publix Super Markets Charities benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County will take place Saturday, January 27, 2018.

This year, Steve Augeri, lead vocalist of Journey from 1998 to 2006, will headline the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Déjà Vu Rock Republic: A Tribute to Hard Rock.  Augeri will belt out Journey’s hits – Don’t Stop Believin,’” “Faithfully,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Open Arms,” “Wheel in the Sky,” “Lights,” and more – at this “Night of Journey” concert.  More than 500 guests are expected to attend the Déjà Vu gala, typically a sellout.

Augeri debuted as Journey’s frontman with the 7-time platinum soundtrack for the 1998 sci-fi flick Armageddon. He went on to record three albums during his successful eight-year tenure that brought one of the world’s most accomplished melodic rock groups back to the stage for multiple world tours.

In addition to the iconic music of Journey, the rock-‘n’-roll-themed Déjà Vu Rock Republic will feature the Shane Duncan/All Access Band, dinner and dancing, and live and silent auction.

“Déjà Vu is known for its extravagant production, exceptional entertainment and a ridiculous amount of fun,” said Ana Cedeño, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County.

The purpose of the night is to celebrate the mentoring success in South Florida through Big Brothers Big Sisters. All the funds raised that night go directly toward providing the transformational power of mentorship to the children currently in our programs and to help expand the mentoring experience to the hundreds of children still on the waiting list for a Big Brother or Big Sister.

Of course, we recognize that great change is only made possible by great people. At the center of the sold-out event are our honorees, selected members of the community who have gone far beyond the call of duty as child advocates in South Florida.

This year's honorees include:
• Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Visionary Corporation of the Year

• Chad Van Horn, Van Horn Law Group, P.A. , Child Advocate of the Year

• Malena Mendez-Dorn, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Champion of Children

The event will be held at The Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at One Seminole Way, Hollywood, FL 33314 at 6 p.m., Saturday, January 27.

Tickets are $350 per person and includes dinner, concert, live and silent auctions. Custom sponsorships are available, email [email protected] for more information on sponsorships.
